6 Ingredient Honey Soy Slow Cooker Chicken

This no-fuss slow cooker chicken is perfectly savory with a bit of sweet. It is family-friendly, super simple and really good! Save yourself time in the kitchen and enjoy your weeknights with your family!

We served with organic quick cooking brown rice and sauteed zucchini (hello summer!) sprinkled with parmesan before serving.  This meal came together so fast and is perfect especially on those nights when you are working late or have an evening activity.

6 Ingredient Honey Soy Slow Cooker Chicken

INGREDIENTS

2 pounds skinless chicken thighs, trimmed of fat *

⅓ cup low sodium soy sauce

¼ cup honey

¼ cup water

1 tbsp tomato paste

¾ tsp ground ginger

¼ tsp ground black pepper

2 cloves garlic, minced

Chopped green onion (optional)

 

DIRECTIONS

Place chicken in slow cooker.  Combine all other ingredients in glass jar or bowl and then pour over chicken.  Cook on low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.  When chicken is done, shred or serve whole chicken thighs- your preference!

*This recipe works great with 1.5-2 pounds of trimmed chicken thighs.  I have also made it with chicken breasts, but we preferred the texture of chicken thighs.
